News from the PLL:

7.5 will go LIVE on April 28th, the Tuesday after the NA FanFest in Anaheim.

We will also get an update to storage. Armoire will be able to store all job-specific gear. And all dungeon gear included in 7.X will get the same treatment.

That will save a lot of glamour dresser space.

JP FC progress:

We got a house!

Sent out the first Submarine mission, and after it returned the sub levelled up to Rank 3 and unlocked two new destinations. Those will only be available to dive to at Rank 4, but that’s ok.

Got my character’s squadron ranked up, successfully finishing the level 40 flag mission required for the rank up.

Greetings, April, Grand Nagus and Big G!

Been a mixture of NMS and FFXIV this past week. I spent a chunk of time in both games though I didn't get much time on my JP alt but I hope to get more time on her in the coming days.

Below is a screenshots are of the Living Ship the amazing April gifted to me which has sparked my eagerness to play more NMS, a selfie of me and AprilPVD and an image of what I think will be my new character look will be. The last screenshot is just me trying out Lancer as a job on my main toon this past weekend.

JP FC progress:

Sadly we didn’t win the lottery, so we are still homeless.

There are seven potential plots to bid on in the ongoing lottery, that ends on the 27th, and we have our eye on a few of them.

I’m gathering materials for the repair kits we need to support the submarine and airship missions, as well as topsoil for planting in the garden.

We transferred some funds over to JP to have enough money for a few eventualities, so we don’t face the dilemma of not being able to bid, just because we don’t have money.

I went and put together a new glam using the skirt we got from the Valentine's Day event. It is cute, though you have to use boots, if you don’t want the socks to show.

Hopefully i’ll be able to report better lottery news next week.

The bids are in, now we wait. In this case, we wait for SE to tell us who’s won the lottery for the Berlin FanFest tickets.

Jaffa Cake progress:

Jaffa got her event quest done, and got the event attire, along with the other housing stuff and music rolls you could get from the event.

Candy Shop progress:

Got the event quest done on Æble. She is going to provide the base housing items if we should be lucky enough to win the lottery for the house!

I’ve been hunting for a plot for multiple days. Last cycle I saw a medium plot that had about eighty bidders trying to get it.

I’m not going to talk about the plot I bid on at all, you never know who might listen!!

All I'm gonna say is that I'm in love with the location of it.

Ctrl Alt WoW FF14 Episode 5 - Ready For Housing

Level 60+ sticker game on a bi-weekly basis.

The goal is to do 9 tasks, as you can see on the right side, 9/9 completed.

Each completed task will grant you a sticker. If you complete one line, two lines or three lines is totally RNG, but you can use the SECOND CHANCEs to repeat one task as often as you have second chances to spend (max of 9 second chances can be held at any time).

Chocobos can eat buff foods. If you train them on one feed, they will have it as their favorite, or preferred food, and it will give them a bonus of an additional 5% to the buff of 10% standard. But you can feed them any of the buff foods, for the normal 10% buff at any time. The buff will last until the Chocobo retreats from battle, aka after the 30 / 60 mins of presence you get from calling them and not extending it, or until you log out.

So you only need to apply one feed item, if you remember to reapply the summoning duration before it expires.

Candy Shop progress:

We qualify for land purchase now, as the technical term is called.

So I've been scouting for a few nice available plots already
We need to prepare for the housing phase of the FC.

Getting the money to buy the plot, getting the items, leveling the jobs on the characters to be able to craft housing items, so there is plenty to do.

Patch 7.41 launched today!

There will be lots of new stuff, but new features wise we have two major things added:

The latest Cosmic Exploration and the next step in the new Relic weapons, the Phantom Weapons Saga

Received the newest Arrangement Album from SE in the mail last week, it’s the “Orchestral Arrangement Album Vol. 4” with 5 tracks on it.

A little trick I use when going somewhere I have to get to with about the same level mobs is the gatherer job trick. See, as a gatherer you get SKEAK at level 8, and when activated, you can avoid engagement with enemies up to 4 levels higher than your level. Like if you want to reach your Aether Currents to unlock flying, that method is a pretty nice one, just ride along and literally ignore all the mobs, normally, without SNEAK, you have to be 10 levels + higher to gain the same effect.

Earrings and the issue with character creation permanent earrings and glam earrings and the fact that some are one side only earrings and others are both sides.

Give us a left side and right side earring slot, just like with the finger rings.

Fashion accessories feature could be the solution, imo.

Candy Shop progress:

I unlocked DNC. This is the DNC the starting gear plus the wings.

These weapons are my favorite non-shiny DNC weapons, and I make a point to get them for every character that unlocks the job, (unlock requirement for DNC is a DoW/DoM job at level 60), as soon as it does so.

I finished the Heavensward 3.0 MSQ yesterday. HW is still one of the best expansions of FFXIV.

That let me start with a few optional side quests, namely, at least in my case currently, unlocking and playing through the HW 8-man Raid.

It is very easy to find a group for the fights and if you stay in the instance after the fight is over, almost always, all people will leave, so you will be able to get the loot for yourself and be able to get decent upgrades for your level, the first wing, A1N-A4N will give you iLvl 190 gear. Not the best, but a great start. And you can get a complete set, minus the weapon, for doing all 4 fights in one tier.
